Protection insurance.

Cover for your family, your home and your business if illness or death strikes. We'll work out what you need, and what to put first.

Why it matters

It does happen. Be ready if it does.

Illness and death are uncomfortable subjects, so many people put off cover thinking it will never happen to them. In our experience it does happen, and the financial effect on you and your family can be severe.

With a little care, protection is easy to put in place, and premiums are often less than people expect. What you're really paying for is peace of mind.

Personal protection

Cover for you and your family.

Life cover

A lump sum or income for your family if you die, so the mortgage and bills are taken care of.

Critical illness cover

A lump sum if you're diagnosed with a serious illness covered by the policy.

Income protection

A regular income if you can't work because of illness or injury.

Family protection

Cover built around your children and the people who depend on you.

Buildings and contents

Insurance for your home and everything in it.

Questions

Frequently asked.

Do I need life insurance with a mortgage?

It isn't a legal requirement, and most lenders don't insist on it. If anyone depends on your income or would struggle with the mortgage without you, cover is worth considering.

What's the difference between life cover and critical illness cover?

Life cover pays out if you die during the policy. Critical illness cover pays out if you're diagnosed with a serious illness listed in the policy while you're alive.

What is income protection?

It replaces part of your income, usually monthly, if illness or injury stops you working. It keeps paying until you return to work or the policy ends.

How much does protection cost?

It depends on your age, health, smoking status, the amount of cover and how long it runs. Premiums are often lower than people expect.
